Our holiday traditions start the day after Thanksgiving. We go to a local tree farm, after much debate and a family vote, choose a tree, cut it down with the saw that my husbands' father used when he was a boy, carry it out of the woods and with much excitement in the air, put it up and decorate it when we get home. This means that four bins holding all of our decorations get confettied around the living room while three little girls giggle and dance to their favorite holiday songs. This is truly one of my favorite days of the year. This year we were lucky to have C's parents helping with our selection of the perfect tree. A tradition that has come full circle.
