Every year I panic thinking up a unique holiday card. I search the internet for ideas, look over the cards from past years-yes, I actually save everyone's card-every year. A great friend of mine has the fever too and we spend hours on the phone and through email talking about location, outfits, poses. A lot of thought and prep goes into our cards every year.
This year I thought it was absolutely necessary-and well worth it-to bribe my girls to take their holiday photo. My husband was at work. I usually drag him around the house looking for the "perfect" outfit and making him prep the scene for the background. I thought it would be best to spare him the duties and surprise him with the final product this time. I couldn't be happier with the results! I have new photos to put up on my walls-which remain bare after painting three years ago...guess I know what I'm doing this winter :)
I couldn't believe I captured this moment. It is my favorite of the day.
