Senior Session at Audubon in Falmouth, Maine

Abby and I scheduled her session on a gorgeous July summer night a few weeks ago.  True to Maine weather, we had to wait out a summer thunder storm-but then the skies cleared and we were left with absolutely stunning evening light

I'm so happy that we did not cancel because we had an amazing time together!

Abby's session was at the Audubon in Falmouth, Maine.  It is a beautiful location with so many backdrop options.  The wildflowers were in their full glory!  One hilarious thing happened when Abby was sitting among the tall grass surrounded by flowers (image 4, 5 & 6)-a group of hikers saw me and what looked like me taking pictures of the ground....because of the tall grass, they did not see Abby.  When the gentleman inquired what I was taking pictures of, he seemed surprised that there was indeed, another person in front of me!  

Note to self: Next time I'm at the Audubon-Wear TONS of bug spray!  The mosquito may be the new Falmouth Audubon bird!  Just kidding :)

MacWorth Island, Falmouth Mini Holiday Session

I am finally posting Jack and Colin's Mini Session.  Yes, I'm a bit behind on my blog.  Going through these images (eating a bowl of ice cream with chocolate sauce and whipped cream-Thanksgiving leftovers) makes me wish that I had done my own session on MacWorth-when the grass was green.  Just look at that tree stump!

It was a beautiful Fall day with Jack and Colin.  These two boys are naturals in front of the camera.  They are so handsome and photogenic!  I look forward to photographing them every year-seriously, I cross my fingers and wait for Julie's call.  This year was no surprise-they really turned on the charm! No posing instructions were needed.  They showed off their mad soccer skills-Julie joked that this years session may have to be on the soccer field-with both boys playing, finding the time to fit a session in was not easy.  They adore each other, their joking and friendship is evident in these images.  Thank you boys for letting me capture just a moment of your growth together!

High School Senior Friend Session

I met up with these five beautiful High School Senior friends in mid-October, an hour before sunset at the Maine Audubon in Falmouth, Maine.   

Eliza, Elizabeth, Sadie, Isabel and Sophie wanted pictures together because next year they will all be in different parts of the country in college and traveling the world without each other.  

They had an absolute blast together.  They were hilariously funny and posed naturally.  I am so honored to have witnessed and been a part of their friendship-even if it was 

only a peek in for one night.

To all my friends, family and neighbors-consider a session like this next year.  Think about all the most important people in your life and get them together for an evening of good light and laughter.  When you look back on your life, you can hold these images in your hands and remember all the stories of each other.  Where ever you may travel, whom ever you may meet, experiences you may have, you will always have your closest friends and family to stand with you.
